Look, we live in a world where money wins. Capitalism is undefeated. The NFL? Basically a monopoly. Okay, not technically, but functionally? Yeah, they own the space. They own Sundays...and now a few other days of the week...
And the Super Bowl? The crown jewel of capitalism. A marketing orgy. The NFL doesn’t just own the game—they own the culture, the conversation, and the economy for the night. It’s the closest thing America has to a secular national holiday—except, cruelly, we still have to work the next day.
It’s the least we can do in this corporate-driven, profit-first, extract-every-last-dollar-from-you system. You already got our money, our eyeballs, and our attention.
At least give us the goddamn common courtesy of a free Monday.
