A Series of Small Decisions

Design is a thousand tiny decisions that build up to create something people connect with. Every choice, every detail adds up to that final expression.

The tools you have, the way you structure your day, the things you keep within arm’s reach — all of these influence the ideas you generate and the work you produce. A single tool, conveniently placed, can spark a new direction for your entire project. That’s why I’m obsessed with the environment I create for myself in the studio.

I’ve curated every detail in my studio to elevate the creative process. The doors are open, blending inside and outside. We’ve got sit-stand desks to match how we feel. Large Apple displays, Wacom pads, mechanical keyboards, workbench, high-def stereo, stacks of paper, a large format printer, laser cutter, 3D printer, multiple headphone types, varied lighting, different cameras, softboxes, microphones, whiteboard, sticky notes. Every tool, every resource, is right there, ready to be used when inspiration strikes. Everything is within reach.

Evaluate what tools you use every day and where they are. Are they within arm’s reach? Are they ready to help you make the next decision? Your work environment should inspire you, not limit you. Make sure you’re surrounded by what you need to create at your best.
