Fostering Chester and Murphy: A Studio Session

My wife and her friend, Palmer, started fostering two dogs, Chester and Murphy. We brought them into the studio and set up a simple outdoor set on the back patio. The light filtering through the willow tree provided a beautiful, soft ambiance that felt like the ocean.

We added a  highlight behind their heads to make Chester and Murphy shine, which was especially useful given their thick, textured coats. A touch of fill lighting adjacent to the camera.

Chester

Chester is a 8-month old golden retriever pup. He is sweet and gentle. He is available for adoption from the Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue. He will be listed shortly on their site.

Murphy

Murphy is a 5-month old puppy. You can adopt him through Stand with My Pack. He’s full of love, potty and crate trained, and such a quick learner.  He loves dogs and people, he’s just learning to trust again. Murphy would be such a great addition to any home.

You can't adopt him but his first test shot came out fire, so it's included at the bottom here.
