Most of the internet sucks. Like the real world, it’s cluttered with noise, distractions, and bad takes. But occasionally, it delivers something so niche, so bizarrely joyful, it reminds you why you love the internet again.
Take this guy on YouTube. His passion? Restoring vintage locomotive horns. He mounts them on his pickup truck and drives down empty roads, unleashing their epic sound to create an auditory Doppler effect that’s equal parts absurd and sublime. It’s mesmerizing.
This is the internet at its best. Someone, somewhere, pouring their heart into something wildly specific and sharing it with the world. It’s simple. It’s beautiful.
